Kerry
Kerry Durant, RPN, brings more than 35 years of nursing experience to her work as a dementia care specialist, educator and healthcare leader. While working for 25 years at The Ottawa Hospital, she received the Ontario Premier’s Award in Health Sciences for Ophthalmology. She now dedicates her work to supporting individuals living with dementia and the families who care for them.
As the working owner and CEO of Dementia Training PLUS in Ontario, Kerry offers compassionate, practical guidance through in-home consultations, caregiver education, staff training, public speaking and support groups. Trained in Positive Approach to Care by Teepa Snow, she is certified as a dementia coach and consultant. She helps families better understand dementia progression, manage behaviours, and navigate the emotional and practical challenges that come with changing care needs.
Kerry also supports families caring for loved ones with palliative needs, helping them remain at home as long as possible with dignity, comfort and to ensure the right supports are in place. Known for her experience, Kerry makes complex medical information easier to understand and helping families feel more confident, informed, and supported during difficult times.

Jessa
Jessa is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and a Practical Nursing diploma from Algonquin College. She brings extensive experience in complex continuing care, transport teams, home care, palliative care, rehabilitation, and surgical care.
Jessa is adept at guiding clients through complex healthcare systems, advocating for patients and their families, and facilitating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Her clinical training includes palliative care certification, ventilator care in both hospital and community settings, Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), and suicide prevention training.
She supports families through advocacy, education, and research, while also assisting with system navigation and resource development to enhance access, safety, and quality of care. Jessa is committed to ensuring that all clients receive the specialized services and resources necessary for optimal outcomes

Robin
Robin is a Registered Nurse with over thirty-five years of comprehensive experience in emergency medicine. Robin has supported families in accessing a variety of resources within the healthcare system, including Geriatric Emergency Management (GEM), where specialized nurses collaborate with ER staff to ensure that individuals over the age of 65 receive focused geriatric assessments and access to appropriate services, facilitating safe discharge home. Throughout her tenure at The Ottawa Hospital, Robin has worked with a diverse patient population, consistently treating everyone with respect and compassion. She is highly skilled in assisting families with discharge planning and guiding them through the complexities of the healthcare system to help seniors age in place, utilizing all available and necessary resources.
